The Voigtlander Z 28mm APO-Lanthar uses the same optical formula as the Sony E-mount and Leica M mount 28mm APO Lanthars, which were introduced as the highest-performance wide angle lens in Voigtländer’s history. Voigtlander Z lens optics are optimized for the Z image sensors of the Z mirrorless Nikon cameras.
The APO-Lanthar's apochromatic design minimizes axial chromatic aberration of the three primary colors of light, RGB, to zero. The performance of this APO-Lanthar will revolutionize wide angle lens standards.

Main Features
The Z APO-Lanthar delivers outstanding optical performance.
Floating elements are used with the 12 elements in 8 groups optical design. Two Aspherical elements have aspherical surfaces on both sides. 6 elements are made using anomalous partial dispersion glass.
Designed exclusively for the Nikon Z mount
Its optical design is optimized for the full frame (Nikon FX-format) camera sensor for improved optical performance. It may be used on DX Z cameras.
Information communication with the body by electronic contacts
Voigtlander Z lenses are equipped with electronic contacts to communicative between the lens and camera body to provide Exif information and and in-body image stabilization (3 axis) *1. Lens focusing support includes [1] focusing by color changing of the focus point frame [2] peaking function focusing and [3] focusing with the enlargement button). *1 Keep your camera firmware updated in order to maintain maximum features possible with your camera body.
Manual focus for reliable focus operation
By adopting a full-metal focusing helical adjusted with high precision high-quality grease to provide appropriate torque, very smooth manufal focusing operation is attained along with precision fine focus adjustment. The lens focusing helical and aperture control rings are all metal featuring heavily carved finger grips in a precision-cut knurled pattern. The lens barrel combines a nostalgic appearance with functionality that improves the feeling of manual operation.
Beautiful bokeh with 12 aperture blades
A 12-blade aperture produces an aperture blade pattern closer to a circle for beautiful bokeh. Out-of-focus bokeh looks more natural depiction. Point light sources are round with soft bokeh instead of a a polygon.
