Superb High Value Lens

I rented an M11 for a week to try it out before committing to the Leica black hole, er, red dot. I was already a fan; I love my Q2 and Q2 Monochrom. But going down the rangefinder rabbit hole at age 67 is a big step. Along with the M11, I rented a Leica 35mm f/2 ASPH Summicron-M II, a very nice lens that costs about 5x of the Ultron. I like both lenses a lot. Color fidelity in particular is superb. I haven’t done any pixel peeping yet, but I doubt I will need to. For IQ, the lenses are amazingly comparable. For the value, there simply is no comparison. This, and the 50mm Lanthar are a huge incentive for me to pursue this path, as a light kit alternative to my medium format gear. Props to CQ for being such a great source of these fine lenses.
