Techart Pro Leica M to Sony E Autofocus Adapter
Mint USED, Boxed Version 1 software - can be updated

TECHART PRO adapter is the world’s first lens adapter allowing you to autofocus your manual focus Voigtlander Leica M mount lenses!
Really, it seems impossible but its true.
Designed for Sony A7II, A7RII and A6300 ONLY

PROS: Giving you the impossible:
relatively fast autofocusing for manual focus Voigtlander Leica M lenses
(or most any M mount lens)!
Offers autofocus for dozens of other SLR lens mounts by adding a 2nd adapter.
Just  mount a 2nd SLR to M adapter such as Nikon or Canon or Pentax to M adapter to your Techart adapter.

CONS: Larger, bulkier, more expensive adapter which uses your batteries faster.
Best for lenses weighing about 10oz and less.
Designed to work with only 3 Sony bodies.

Techart PRO adapter is basically a lens adapter with a motor and a printed circuit board, allowing the camera to measure the focus and communicate with the motor. And the motor will move the lens closer or further away from the camera sensor to reach the focal point. The maximum z-shift is 4.5mm which is sufficient to cover the focusing distance for most of the lenses. The optical performance will NOT be affected for unit focusing lenses.

Techart PRO adapter does not only support AF-S, but more importantly, it supports the AF-C, the continous autofocusing mode. This is extremely useful for shooting moving objects like sports players, children or animals. In the past, you may not be able to keep these photos sharp with your favourite Leica M lenses, but now you can certainly do it with the Techart PRO adapter.

Techart PRO adapter is also highly compatible. It can accept lenses with Leica M bayonet mount and connect them with Sony A7II and Sony A7RII. You may also further adapt other lens mounts with longer flange distance like Leica R or C/Y mount to Techart PRO adapter so that these lenses can also be vitalized. This opens up a tremendous amount of lenses options to be used with Techart PRO for auto focusing.

Techart PRO allows you to save 10 sets of lens data, including focal lengths and aperture values, via our complementary mobile app. The camera body will be able to make corresponding adjustments.

TechArt Pro + 40mm Heliar
I have used the TechArt Pro autofocus adapter with the 40mm Heliar F/2.8 lens (which requires some external focus system). The pair work beautifully! This creates a wonderful autofocus 40mm Heilar!
I also use the 40mm Heliar with the Voigtlander Close Focus Adpter and love it.

I have also used the TechArt Pro adapter with many other M mount lenses on my Sony A7ii and it is always flawless for me.

I updated its firmware immediately upon arrival. That firmware update is one of the simplest ever! So I am using it on version 4 of its firmware.

Battery life must be affected by the adapter, but in my use (family, snapshots, travel, general pleasure) I honestly see no significant difference in battery life.

I highly recommend this adapter for anyone with M mount lenses and a conformable Sony camera. I also recommend that this adapter be considered for anyone interested in the 40mm F/2.8 Heliar, even if they do not have other M mount lenses. The 40mm Heliar plus this adapter costs about the same as the Sony 35mm F/2.8 lens.
